Ep 7 - Writer's Corner with Abi Dare, Tolu Adesina and Tola Okogwu
I totally loved this conversation! Our first group conversation, which was an experience in itself, but wow! I was inspired and practically equipped by these 3 beautiful women who are using the stories of their lives and in their hearts to change narratives and perspectives.
In this conversation, we discuss their journey to becoming authors. What struck me was how similar their start up stories were – They all started exploring their voice through blogging pulling from deep (seeking) experiences in their lives and their writing journey however young or mature has been divinely inspired with a strong sense of purpose.
We also got practical as I helped you ask all the basic questions of – being published vs self published, sending query letters, getting an agent, writing full or part-time, using technology or manual tools etc. We also discuss various competitions/accelerator programs for writers e,g. – Bath Novel Awards, Penguin Right-Now that have propelled them forward to the next level in their writing careers.
I hope you love this episode as much as I do. Leave us a comment and tell us what stuck out to you the most.
