Adjoa is a subject matter expert in financial crime compliance with specific expertise in economic sanctions, Anti- money laundering and terrorist financing. Adjoa has extensive years of experience working for the top financial institutions including the Big 4. Adjoa is also part of BBC’s expert women voices – a collective of female contributors to BBC business output.
Adjoa currently works as the Head of Global Training and Communications for Risk Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) at Barclays Bank. She is also the founder and CEO of Emerging Business Intelligence and Innovation “EBII” GROUP - Founded in 2018 whilst doing her postgraduate degree at the University of Oxford. EBII compliance provides due diligence research reports globally for clients involved in Mergers and Acquisitions, General Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know your customer (KYC) reports with a special focus on Africa and the Middle East as well as designing a range of compliance blended training courses for clients.
With Adjoa’s recognition as an ‘inspirational, determined, born leader,’ (Oxford University cohorts 2018), Adjoa founded “The Mantles” in 2019. A business that aims to raise giants by transforming the minds of ordinary people in families, market place, academic world, corporate world, governments to lead change and transform nations through coaching and leadership empowerment programmes and developments.
Adjoa finished her postgraduate degree in financial strategy at the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School in April 2019 and held the elected role of Student Representative and Oxford Africa Society Partnership Manager. helping the Oxford Africa Society develop ideas for engaging high-level individual and corporate partners in the UK.
